Developed for modern residential extensions and refurbishment projects, the Stratus Flat Rooflight has been engineered to maximise natural daylight while maintaining slim sightlines and a low-profile appearance. The system forms part of our wider roofing and glazing portfolio, which includes lantern roofs, conservatory roofing systems and aluminium glazing products.
According to Prefix, the rooflight has been designed with installer efficiency in mind, featuring a rapid two-piece installation process intended to reduce fitting times on site. Hidden fixings and a streamlined aluminium exterior also support the product’s clean architectural finish.
The Stratus Flat Rooflight is available in a range of bespoke and modular sizes, with square and rectangular formats up to 1500mm x 2792mm. Standard finishes include grey, black and white, with additional RAL options available for more design-led projects.
Thermal efficiency remains a major focus for the extension and flat roofing market, and Prefix says the system incorporates thermally broken construction and advanced glazing technology to help improve insulation and occupant comfort. Glazing options include Low-E double-glazed units with solar control and acoustic performance benefits. Published figures indicate U-values as low as 1.0 W/m²K can be achieved, depending on specification.
Weather performance has also been prioritised, with the product tested to BS 6375 standards and incorporating multiple sealing points designed to improve long-term resistance to wind and water ingress.

The company says demand for contemporary roof glazing products continues to grow as homeowners increasingly favour open-plan kitchen extensions and light-filled living spaces.
