Supervisor (Window Fabrication)

An opportunity has become available for a Supervisor to join our growing team at Prefix Systems (SW), a leading aluminium window fabrication specialist.

To be successful in this role you must display strong attention to detail and quality, as well as excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. You must also be able to work well with people and demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules.

Preferred candidates will have experience in mechanical fabrication, in particular aluminium and/or experience in manufacturing windows and doors.


  • 3 years’ experience of first line management in a production environment (desirable)
  • Management related qualification (desirable)

Normal working hours are Monday to Thursday 6am until 3pm and Friday 6am until 1pm. From time to time you will be required to be flexible with your working hours by completing overtime to accommodate times of high demand.

Candidate Requirements

  • Oversee relative departments and ensure smooth day to day running of the factory
  • To carry out all work instructions given by the Factory Manager
  • Cover for Factory Manager during periods of absence
  • Monitor overtime and productivity of Factory staff
  • Ensure workload targets are achieved through adequate resourcing
  • Work as a team with office staff and hold meetings with managers to improve operational efficiency
  • Delegate workloads to staff to achieve daily targets
  • Drive quality management and ensure appropriate checks are carried out
  • Keep housekeeping to an acceptable standard across the factory
  • Ensure any health and safety issues are reported and addressed in a timely fashion
  • Provide and monitor training to ensure cover and meet operational demands
  • Record and monitor internal non-conformances and seek to resolve route causes where possible
  • Contribute and implement process improvements to factory processes
  • Work together with the Factory Manager to deliver projects to agreed standards and time frames
  • Report daily to the Factory Manager with production updates
  • Carry out any other appropriate duties as directed by management
